A bit about Georgina…

I always knew art was ‘my thing’ - but it took a while to realise it could be ‘the thing’ for my career.

The younger me used to enjoy decorating my schoolbooks with doodles, and relished Mother’s Day for getting out the pens and paints for a homemade card (nothing’s changed ;)).

I chose to do sensible things like ‘proper’ studies and a career in the UK government and pharma industry (oh, and parenthood snuck in there too). But the call to art was always there…

The big switch came after leaving the UK to live and work abroad in a string of memorable places (Paris, Switzerland, Singapore, Myanmar…). I knew I could combine my communications experience with my artistic talent to help businesses translate their messages from ‘same old’ content into engaging visual summaries.

And the demand to sketch custom illustrations to celebrate people’s weddings, new babies, big birthdays, and anniversaries was growing into something real.

So GH illustrations was born in Singapore, back in 2013. Though it’s moved to the other side of the world since, one thing hasn't changed:

I simply love making art that makes people stop and smile.

These days I do commissions for a global portfolio of clients from my base here in Boston, Massachusetts (USA), with a view of my growing cherry tree, a coffee cup and snoozing cats…

I’ve worked with….

These are just the big names because you’ll recognise them…but the small names and people matter to me too.

Whoever you are, whatever your art idea - let’s connect!

That’s my story

- what’s yours…?

I love connecting - please say hello!

When I’m not sketching,

I am…

…painting in acrylics and picking up real pens, crayons, sketchbooks - nothing beats the OG hands-on methods for inspiring and improving the digital art results.

…helping two smaller people learn / grow / not starve / get to places (roughly) on time.

…looking forward to my next coffee.

…wondering where my cats are and if they need just one more stroke.

…planning my next trip to England to stock up on family time and Cadbury’s.
